What does that mean? Your TV will not depend on cable. Satellite systems will have a much lower cost alternative. The big 5 conglomerates will either have to adapt--or die. HDTV streaming is already here. In fact it has been for quite some time. But most existing providers assumed you had  your TV attached by a coax cable to a box outside your home by a cable company. The good new is, you can already get as much content as  you want--(as many as 3000+ channels by one company) for cheap!  Under 50 bucks, you get ALL the dedicated channels of virtually every niche and interest without having to sort thru which company offers what--at one basic price!
